NEPAL: Yeti Airlines Aims To Expand Its Routes And Services
Yeti Airlines was established from September 1, 1998 and it has been providing daily flight services including mountain flights, not only to the big cities of Nepal but also to the most remote Karnali.
Out of the 33 airports of Nepal, Yeti Airlines currently operates in 9 airports and Tara Air operates its service to 12-21 airports on daily basis, Bhim Rai, Senior manager of the company.
According to him, Yeti Airlines is Nepal's first and only Carbon Neutral Airlines.
According to Chief Executive Officer of the company, Umesh Chandra Rai, the company aims to expand its service by adding new technology and facilities to the aircraft on the occasion of completing 21 years of its service.
Yeti has started giving its services at most of the airports in the country but that was stopped recently due to lack of servicemen and aims to serve as many airports as possible in the coming days.
Rai also aims to resume service in remote and urgent areas like Rukum, Chaurjahari, Safebari, Bajhang, Doti, Rumjatar, Khanidanda, Lamidanda, Bhojpur, Suketar, Jomsom, and Kangle.
