Celebrating their first resort in western Europe, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has announced their takeover of CastaDiva Resort & Spa, set on the banks of popular upscale tourist destination Lake Como in Italy.

Following a refurbishment, the property is expected to open in Spring 2019.

The historic property dates back to the 19th century and comprises 76 rooms and suites across nine villas, two of which can be booked out for groups looking for private retreats.

The most popular spots are the outdoor floating pool on the lake and the lakeside terrace for alfresco meals overlooking the water.

There are three other F&B outlets as well as a spa with an indoor pool.

Day visits around the lake will uncover Italian culture at its best in the villages, villas and gardens, hiking trails and water sports.

Those seeking the ultimate Lake Como experience we offer our Guests two magnificent Villas located within the grounds of the Resort.

All facilities and services are available while conserving the privacy and exclusivity that only a private villa can offer.

Villa Norma and Villa Amina are available for short term tenancies with services ranging from private housekeeping, on call butler and chef to cater every whim.

Lake Como is surrounded by beautiful villas, gardens and resort villages as well as hiking paths and its popular for boat trips and water activities.
